what's juicytrade?

is a safe, fun, place online where goodhearted people come together to barter and trade products and services for free.

what's the catch?

ok, i’ll admit, it’s a selfish reason: my friends and i are not rich, and we want lots of things in life... the more people that use this, the more cool things we might get to trade. plus, i’m a spoiled skeptic. i get annoyed having to register on sites to enjoy “free services” and REALLY can’t stand when a membership is required. i like to think i live by the golden rule- so there is no catch on this website. help me out by clicking on the google ads every now and then, and we’ll call it even.

how does it work?

you browse or search on the website, find something you like
you contact the owner (the owner will have an anonymous email) and begin the negotiations
you get feisty and post something of your own, add a picture, a description, hit submit and let the fun begin!

is it legal?

it’s absolutely legal. if it’s a business trade, then transactions are treated like cash and it’s up to you to claim trades on your taxes. if it’s a personal trade, no worries- you’ve already paid the taxes on products.

why need email?

two reasons for needing your email we need to be able to anonymize it to protect your privacy so that users responding to your post don’t have immediate access to your contact info if you don’t want them to have it. juicytrade will email you a confirmation of your post to verify the contact info is correct, this email contains links to allow you to publish, edit, and remove your posting. that’s it- your email is not saved to be sold to businesses and we don’t spam you…it’s all about the golden rule.

looks interesting, but...

SOUND THE ALARMS!!!
everyone has something to offer. think about your hobbies, your talents, your passions, your favorite things to do at work, things you get complimented on, your education, certifications...think about SPRING CLEANING!! all those things you have around the house- stuffed in corners of closets, piled up in boxes in the garage, taking up space in the “junk drawer”. i hate to use the cliche, but it’s so appropriate... “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure”... everyone has something to offer. if you still need some inspiration i have three suggestions: read about the guy that traded a red paper clip for a house, read through the recent list of things my friends and I have made trades on under “trading” browse through the products & services on juicytrade to spark your imagination. happy trading!
